This CD proves again that the preconception that Germans have no humor is right. This band, AOK, is a good example of how not to play music. The worst thing is they probably think the listener will laugh his ass of with titles like ‘Marilyn Mancchen’ and ‘Brombeerhagel 2003’. But these are infantile, pathetic song titles.

A band like Zimmer’s Hole know how to create a balance between humor and metal, and they’re good at what they are doing, cause of the professional, yet cynic sphere, they breathe out. But this AOK…well….

I took a look at their discography, and to my surprise, they released a dozen albums.

So…there are really fans of this band? Well, at least it proves there might be a connection possible between your intelligence and the music you listen to. Cause, maybe some primitive weed smoking people might love this record, but it is absolute shit.

The music isn’t bad at all, and the production is also pretty well done but when the ‘vocals’ come in, with their pseudo funny tone, well…you’ve seen the movie The Royal Tenenbaums?’ Well, the vocals are just as bas as watching that movie. This album will make a flight with as end destination: the small bushes of my backyard.
