“The second solo release of vocal-piano artist Dawn Desiree’, “Dancing, Dreaming, Longing...” is an exhibition of Dawn’s angelic soprano voice accompanied by a myriad of ethereal piano compositions, electro-pop, dark-wave, and ethnic influences that paint a rich cascade of emotional depth.” At least that is what the info leaflet says about this release. What a statement, beautiful and most promising ... but not entirely true. I can be very short about this release: the only real beauty of the album lies in the digipack and the above statement.

The music, a strange combination of synthesizers and other electronic equipment, sounds horrible. At moments I get the feeling I’m listening to computer game music, on my MSX-2 that is! The vocals of Dawn do not sound any better and the hollow production doesn’t help eighter. To give you an impression; most of the time you get the feeling that the vocals are recorded in a bathroom. This is an album you should definitely avoid.
