Champion from Seattle deliver what should be delivered more: old school hardcore with melody. All thirteen tracks on Time Slips Away hail from two previously released MCD’s, hard to get in Europe. A solid initiative from Join The Team Player, this European release. Time Slips Away is a very balanced set of tracks, with true emotions galore, positive lyrics that make you wanna scream along and so much recognition in the guitar riffs you only want to play the album again and again.

There’s a true back to the roots feeling on this album, with band names like Black Flag and Dag Nasty coming to mind.

Yet somehow tracks like “Assume The Worst” and “The Decline” sound so fresh and vibrant, it adds enough Champion ingredients to make this an album with character and personality.
