After a two year break-up, Scarlet is back with the album Cult Classic™. It started as a project but it was to good to let it just be that. Cult Classic™ is a hardcore album with a lot a metal influences or you can say it’s a metal album with a lot of hardcore influences. Just call it metalcore. But this is no ordinary metalcore. On the album you’ll hear extremely good drum work combined with very well played metal type guitar riffs. Cult Classic™ starts with some chaotic drums and really weird guitar sounds. Till the sixth track on the album (“Dead America™”), there is no rest. “Dead America” starts with very slow drums, followed by very slow riffs.

This is very different from the rest of the album. Maybe that’s because it deals with America going down. But I don’t know that for sure. After “Dead America™” the album continues like on the tracks before “Dead America”, which is simply great metalcore. Great artwork too. On the cover, as you can see, there are people with gasmasks, when you open the booklet there are: skulls, knives and dead people everywhere, and all of them in gold. One tip: If you listen to this album, don’t be depressed. Because it deals with loaded guns, cutting, bleeding America and killing.
