Gutfuck is the not so original title for this not so original band. They explain in their biography that their main musical influence is Suffocation. This, mixed with some metalcore influences, resulted in 4 short, energetic tracks.

The demo is recorded in the Pop-Ei studios in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and the two main reasons for releasing this disc are gaining some recognition and score a few gigs. These modest goals could very well be within their reach, because their sound may not be too original, it’s all played reasonably well and the tracks are ‘moshable’.

However, it must be said that the tracks are not very exciting. They are brutal, they are fast but they are also predictable and monotonous. Although the vocals in general are good (I don’t like the screaming that much, but that’s personal).

It all sounds and feels like a demo, of which there are thousands released every month and Gutfuck doesn’t stand out, nor do they make fools of themselves. A special mention goes out to the package they ship the promo in. It’s a black jewel case with printing in white, looks very slick and professional.
