Ever imagined a merge of Sepultura and Slipknot with a very wild Skin (Skunk Anansie) on vocals? Well, Falling Silence comes close. Sonic Rendezvous signed the band because of their album Dog’s Life (recorded last year) and a demo (Another Year, Another Dollar), with a few promising tracks.

All possibilities are used to express anger and aggression: from sinister and hooked arrangements, grunts and shrieks, tortured instruments, to a hint of electro.

The musicians are up to their heavy task, and the production, which did not take away any sharp edges, makes it all sound very convincing. Vocalist Lore has got a great throat used in criticizing lyrics, and her aggressive yells are impressive, although her (also great) clear vocals often get pushed aside by all that expressive anger.
