Well, I haven’t heard the band’s Underworld Dreams MCD since 2002, but Prelude To Dismay turned out to sound far from bad! What this promo deals with is total death/thrash/black onslaught meant for flooring you with misanthropic angst and rather impressive musicianship! True extremists should check this record out, especially if they’ve been feeling seriously sick of being ear-polluted with pathetic sympho-black effusions and such... Apart from that, the 4 tracks on this CD are notable for their thick sound (the production was entrusted to Paul Beltman of Helter Belter Studios}, and this very detail has contributed enormously to the successful weaving of the Prelude To Dismay morose aura.

What I can say about DarkDayRising themselves is that these guys hail from The Netherlands, and their musical career so far features numerous live performances with acts like Nile, Napalm Death, The Crown, Opeth, Arch Enemy, etc.
