Aha, a rock band from the city of Tilburg, The Netherlands. That brings good memories. I used to live in Tilburg for a few years and what immediately comes to mind is the terrific music culture and venues in the city. It’s like a mini Seattle. The Motion fit in the scene perfectly with this self titled release. Damn, do these guys lay it down. Not only am I fan of Tilburg, I am also a fan of Far, one of the influences you’ll hear in The Motion’s sound. Just like Chevelle and Cave In. They have learned well from their masters.

The Motion mastered the art of ‘how to insert all the modern rock tones necessary’: Heavy on the guitars, explosive on the drums, emotion in the vocals and melodies, and fashionable art work. This is so hip it rattles my teeth. The band strapped all their ideas to well structured songs, with a striking production and all the right emotions.
