Destiny is a hardcore band from Germany who already did a few European tours. The Tracy Chapter is their second album. And a great one it is. After I put the album in my cd-player it didn’t came out for a week.
Destiny recorded the album in the Antfarm Studio in Denmark, where bands like Born From Pain, The Haunted, Heaven Shall Burn and al lot more great bands recorded they’re album. The Tracy Chapter is a great album with some good mosh parts on it. The first song (“Forsaken Love”) starts really cool with the vocals and guitar in a strong combination. What a great opener, from the beginning till the end this song is heavy shit. The voice of Destiny’s lead singer is very cool. I really adore this type of vocals, he has a great hardcore sound but also proves he can sing. In the song “Your Diary” there are some parts that sound a bit like nu-metal. That’s really not irritating and instead sounds really cool and almost perfect. “Revival Of April” starts quiet; the song shows us that Johannes Formella (the singer) can truly sing. | |
The song sounds a bit emo. A really nice song. It is a varied album which in this kind of music is not a common thing but more an exception. I have never seen Destiny play live, but I hope too as quickly as possible.
There is an enhanced video bonus track on the cd. I always like the enhanced computer stuff. So know I had to take the cd out of my cd-player and put it in my computer. The video track is from the song: "Passing Moments"; a cool song with some great mosh parts. In the video they are playing in an empty building, with some cool shots of the band. But there is more to see than just the band. In the clip you’ll see a boy and a girl who are lying in bed and walking on the beach, where the relationship between the boy and girl ends. It’s a very good and professional video. Who knows, maybe you’ll see it in the near future on some MTV rock show!!
