Number 5 in the BYO split series. This time Alkaline Trio and One Man Army share bits and bytes. The downside is that if you – like Alkaline Trio – lay down five stunning tracks you just want more! The band’s charming yet haunting melodic punk doesn’t need an introduction and hits the mark with opener “Fine Without You”. If you are unfamiliar with the band, this split is a great introduction to this fantastic band. Seriously, if you can put down 5 songs like this for ‘an in between split’, you have my deepest respect.

Equally charming are One Man Army. Well, they are actually a three man army. The bands authentic street punk breathes sincerity all the way and just like Alkaline Trio there are numerous traces of European punk to be discovered in the six tracks of One Man Army. Singer Jack’s voice may need some getting used to, but once that hurdle is crossed you will surely enjoy their work.
