The third band to sign to young Dutch label Neurotic Records is Visceral Bleeding from Sweden. They have released a demo and a full length cd so far which were both very well received in the scene Their second cd caught the attention of label owner Ruud Lemmen, who also runs the European office of Unique Leader Records.

He of course already knew the band because vocalist Dennis is also in Spawn Of Possession, who are signed to U.L. It’s certainly not only an act of friendship to release Transcend Into Ferocity on Neurotic Records because this is a very strong album. If you take the brutality of let’s say Cannibal Corpse or Deicide, and mix this with a whole slew of U.

S. death metal bands, you’ll get Visceral Bleeding. It’s both fast yet brutal, technical yet blunt. The tracks are very varied and intense, ranging from blistering fast technical three-tempo-changes-per-second passages to relatively slow brutal ones.

Singer Dennis does a great job and drummer Tobbe sure knows his way behind a drum kit. The others easily match the high level of these guys and together they recorded an album that will be high in my top ten list of 2004.
