This is one album I’ve been looking forward to. Alternative rock (some will call it emo) from Holland, sounding so universal it becomes breathtaking. Their single “Sign Up” already convinced me that Face Tomorrow are now on the brink of a breakthrough. Their Tool (due to singer Jelle’s voice), Sunny Day Real Estate and Radiohead (during The Bends) fuelled rock has so many dynamics and energy it’s like a slap in the face. From haunting silences to massive explosions, Face Tomorrow colour a lovely pallet of emotions (therefore emo), turning The Closer You Get into an unforgettable experience.

Face Tomorrow matured on The Closer You Get. With a solid production and songs with so much variety and dynamics you just can’t stop listening to it. The closer you get (!) to the heart of the album, the more you’ll be convinced of its utter quality. Just listen to “Feel Free” and experience the many directions the band takes on this track. Just like on highlights “My World Within” and “All You Do”, and basically the rest of the album. Face Tomorrow impress me deeply.
