There’s just no end to fine hardcore/alternative/emo releases coming from Holland. Next on the bill is Razor Crusade. Their hardcore influenced alternative rock is 1% Snapcase, 1% Quicksand, 1% Rival Schools (that makes 2% Walter Schreiffel) and 97% Razor Crusade. Leaning less on melody than label mates Face Tomorrow but much more on expression and experimentation. It results in an exciting piece of work, with various dynamic song structures, effects and utter craziness. And just like on the work of the aforementioned band there’s a lot to discover on Infinite Water. | |
Crazy song titles for instance like “Europeanly Adorable” and “This Is Not You, Holland” but also musically. Razor Crusade do not go for the safe US type (screa)emo, but instead add small personal flavors, escaping the hype and trend. Infinite Water is just about the music. Check out www.reflectionsrecords.com for more info on Razor Crusade (and Face Tomorrow). (Marc) |
