I AM ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS!!! The second full-length of USA’s Equimanthorn (feat. Absu, Melechesh and The Bleeding Soil members) totally beats the previous "Nindinugga Ninshimshargal Enlillara" (1993) in my opinion! The production, the compositions, the layout itself - everything appears to mirror quite eloquently the band’s huge progress within 11 years! Style-wise, the guys keep sticking to their ritualistic / ambient sound - once more the listener ends up being urged to dive into the mysteriousness of a world crawling with shadows referred to as ages buried in the ovens of Time long, long ago. Now it is the Sumerian heritage which fuels Equimanthorn with inspiration. Secret caves having sheltered entrancingly enigmatic conjurations, praising choruses and rumbling vibrations meant for heralding uncanny appearances - that’s only a small part of what the goose bumps up and down your spine will materialize like inside your head! Apart from that, the sound quality is simply excellent and this contributes even more to the persuasion that you’re being carried back in the centuries.

The CD front cover and the whole booklet itself insert another shade of mysticism in the "Second Sephira Cella" aura, with representing drawings looking like they have been shot from a just discovered ancient shrine, and this impression is additionally nourished by a sketch looking like a plan of an ancient town (Aqad?) borrowed from an archaeologist’s notes... One of the greatest releases for 2004 so far!
