Two guys playing the blues the Australian garage trash style: just a guitar, half a drum kit, two microphones and ample amplification. It doesn’t get rawer and more pure than this. The White Stripes and the John Spencer Blues Explosion don’t know shit. Digger And The Pussycats are wilder than the former and tighter than the latter. This energetic duo plays pretty varied but about half way the album it all starts sounding a bit the same.

With such a limited set up you can’t expect anything else. But within the limits of the genre they sure have a lot to offer. Fast, up tight and aggressive songs, mid tempo blues shuffles, thumping surf and slow doomy tracks. If you’re into garage Digger And The Pussycats is your band.
