Leaf stands for safety. Safety in music. Think of Nickelback. Think of 3 Doors Down and think of Lifehouse. Only, Leaf’s singer is simply better than the vocalists of all those 3 bands together. That being the only point in which Leaf stands out from other ‘rock’ bands.

But there is hope. In opener “Impressions” for example. A good song line, a decent guitar riff, but the chorus is as gay as Rip Taylor in a bubble bad. And those guitar riffs. The band didn’t just use distortion.

Oh no. They fucking drown the guitar sound with it. You can almost feel the guitar leaking it. “Breakable” is a song to forget. Did I mention Nickelback? “Swimming” and “Changed” are better, even good songs, more aggressive than the other songs on the album. There is too much animosity on this album. Leaf has potential, no doubt about that. For a band with a singer who has this much quality good things are certainly possible.
