If Vox Interium is Latin for “mediocre metal band” then it’s a perfect name for these boys. This is the 2nd offering from the polish trio but I’m not going to lose sleep waiting on the 3rd album.

I think it becomes glaringly obvious that this album disappoints so much when the only interesting aspect is the cover version of the Gorefest classic “ Reality: When You Die”.

A great shame really, because technically these boys are good musicians, it’s just a pity they didn’t stray from a safe generic death metal formula. Too often their songs follow the same arrangement and build, leaving behind a trail of predictable chugga chugga riffs and double bass lines.

After listening to the album I was surprised to see that there’s 10 songs on there, sounds like there’s about 3 or 4, that’s how bad they blend into one another and don’t have any distinctiveness to them.

Maybe a pointer for these guys would be the fact that the only cool moment on the album is on the last track which is strangely melodic, akin to the sound Metallica produced during the puppets era. Stick to what you’re good at maybe???
