This is Ancara’s second promo, containing three straight forward heavy metal songs. The first song “Bound To Roam” has lots of melody and sounds very familiar, even if you haven’t heard the song yet. Vocalist Sammy Salminen reminds me of Sonata Arctica’s vocalist a bit because of his accent. And no surprise, they’re both from Finland. Luckily his accent isn’t disturbing in any way.

The next song, “Come Apart” is less heavy but has it’s own charm in the chorus and guitar solo’s. The third and last song, “Why” is a heavy track but sounds a bit chaotic, there are some background elements that should’ve been left out. But still, all three songs are pretty good and Ancara should be ready for a full length album in my opinion.
