Even if you are just remotely interested in death metal you should know the name Sinister. This Dutch band was among the early Europeans to explore this extreme music style as it came from America to Europe in the late eighties. Albums like “Cross The Styx” and “Diabolical Summoning” are considered as classics in the genre and for 18 years Sinister toured the world numerous times gaining a fanatic following in the underground. Earlier this year founding member Aad Kloosterwaard, being the only original member left, was tired of dealing with the ever occurring line-up changes and decided to end Sinister as well as playing the drums. After almost 20 years of Sinister and drumming Aad had enough of it.

In the last months of Sinister Infinited Hate was already formed as a side-project by Aad. So, he decided to end Sinister and his drumming career and focussed instead on Infinited Hate. The vocals are in the skilled hands of Rachel (ex-Occult, ex-Sinister) who is famous for her fabulous brutal throat. If you see her, you can’t imagine that kind of grunt coming from such a little woman…
Instead of a live drummer a drum computer is used so the only thing that was missing were the guitars.

The last guitar player of Sinister, Rob XXXX was asked to lay down the guitar and bass tracks for the debut album. So, we have the entire last line-up of Sinister in a new project.

The first question which comes to mind is whether Infinited Hate sounds as Sinister. Well, yes and no: of course the grunts of Rachel remind of it as well as the style of the music which is brutal old school death metal. However, Infinited Hate sounds way more brutal, due to the hammering drum computer; and also more primitive with a touch of grindcore. Not all tracks are evenly exiting but “Ill Formed Beast”, The first track of Revel In Bloodshed shows what Infinited Hate is all about.

Don’t expect any real original ideas or technical song writing, “Revel In Bloodshed” is a one dimensional brutal death metal album with not a lot of variety. The pace is more or less the same throughout the songs, the grunt of Rachel is a bit monotonous and the guitar sound is a bit shrieky BUT if you happen to love raw uncompromising fucking death metal this will be no disappointment.
