This debut self-titled release is an ambitious effort, skillfully drawing from a diverse pool of stylistic influences including metal, punk, pop, hip hop, prog rock and electronica. Bands alike are Incubus, Papa Roach, Deftones and even Mr. Bungle. Got an idea of what Groovenics is all about? But, raps and heavy guitars are not the only things happening on this album. Produced by Michael Wagner (Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Alice Cooper etc.), Groovenics shows us a wide diversity with their musical virtuosity.

With roots going as far back as 1996, these six West-Palm Beach Florida rockers are all into completely different styles of music and this is pretty obviously while listening to songs like "Windchill", "Spooky" or "She`s A Freak". This album is a pretty strong one, but it won`t mean a worldwide breakthrough yet. The next cd might as well be the one to do this for Groovenics.
