Oh my God, what the hell is this crap? Is it the latest Slipknot clone? I think so, although the band sounds a little bit different. I really hate this kind of music. Why you ask? Most of all, because of the low tuned guitars. I dislike that sound. There are few bands who use a 7-string guitar that can satisfy me, 10 Fold B-Low are not one of them. Maybe it’s got something to do with the genre, I just hate nu-metal. I simply do not like it. Perhaps I am the wrong reviewer for this album.
Let’s go on. We are dealing with a German band here which started out in 2001. After a couple of years of hard work in the underground, the band got signed by Locomotive Records and lo and behold, their album is released. | |
One of the good things of this album is the production. Every member of the band is audible and the production is clear, especially the drums and vocals.
Vocalist Thomas has a good dynamic voice. Sometimes he sounds like Corey Taylor (Slipknot); sometimes like Jonathan Davis (Korn). I can even hear a Mike Patton influence.
Summing up you’ve got to like nu-metal if you want to listen to this album. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. On the other hand, don’t let my review be your guide. I don’t like nu-metal, so all you nu-metal fans will probably hate me by now.
