TheNAME (write this name with capitals, according to the wishes of the band) is a new band but not really a new band. They founded in 2000, but with different members. After some line-up changes they are now a solid band since 2002.

Impressive is their enthousiasm and their ambitions. There was a biography and perfectly taken care of information of this band sent with this CD. That is something ‘settled’ bands can learn from.
But most importantly: the music of course. And in this case, the music is not well. How will I say it.. It is not something I will listen to before 2009. When I heard the riffs and the first line of Denise (Vocalist) there was directly one band that came in mind: Next Generation, an also dutch band who released their first single a couple months ago and was a CD that grew every time you listened to it.

That is not something this cd has, unfortunately.
It’s kind of childish how in the first song 2 vocalists are trying to make some dynamic changes in the music, like Evanescense has already done. Denise is not a bad vocalist, but I’ve heard better in this genre. Their vocal lines are just too much forced and pushed. It seems technique is more important than emotion.
The music is an mix of The Gathering (Nighttime Birds), Guano Apes, Cave-In (only some vocal lines), Breed 77 and Medication and misses power, melody and emotions.
