Oh man, I feel like I’m 15 years old again. In that period I listened to hardcore a lot and visited a lot of shows. I was completely in to that kind of music; I even played in a hardcore band. Last week I was asked to review this album. Because I don’t follow the hardcore scene anymore, I never heard of Die… My Demon. But as you probably can imagine, the good old hardcore feeling returned the second I first played this album. And that’s very good.

Die… My Demon hail from the DMD-area (Dendermonde and Gent in Belgium) and play their hardcore in the style of Madball, Skarhead and Clubber Lang.

Sometimes I hear a little bit of metal, but it doesn’t bother me on this album. Lyrically it’s not the tough guy image that most hardcore bands have (or pretend to have), the band is just angry, that’s all. The most hilarious lyrics are to be found in the song ‘Fuck You Justin’, which is about Justin Timberlake.
So if you’re into hardcore and you like bands like Madball, Skarhead and Clubber Lang, get this album. It really blows you away.
