Hell yeah, it’s always cool to hear some inebriating stoner rock stuff! Troubled Ground is the second full-length CD from Sweden’s Zebulon, and it is filled to the brim with the adventurous vibe of the 70s - a decade I haven’t lived ‘sufficiently’ in really, but still one that I’ve been feeling weirdly nostalgic for lately... The 10 tracks on the CD are simply faultless - unpretentiously pliant, they flow into you with the velvet might of a good old whiskey and your spirit eventually ends up flying euphorically over vast, dusk-bathed wastelands.

Simply unforgettable!!! What I can say about Zebulon is that they rose from the ashes of Desultory (formed back in 1989), so you can see that these guys are definitely not ‘yet to find their niche in the scene’ newbies. As I could read in the band’s bio, the Troubled Ground recording process was not one of the smoothest ones really, but that the dudes MADE IT after all is the most important thing!
