After Revelations I was curious what Vader’s next album would be like. It became a predictable follow-up of Revelations. Both production and tempo are much like Revelations. This means this album isn’t very refreshing but that’s not very necessary when it comes to Vader.
On this album there are some extremely tight songs which are in the same line of Wings and Carnal. Just plain and loud death metal the way it’s supposed to be done. But that`s not everything. On this album, Vader shows they’ve gone back in time a bit and on some tracks they lean more towards melody as on previous albums. | |
A real highlight of this album are the many great solo’s and that makes this CD everything but ordinary. The drums and guitar/bass are well balanced which gives The Beast a very full sound. The artwork is in the same style of Revelations. With the limited edition you’ll find a ‘study report’ where all the artists have their say and you get the chance to feel the atmosphere in the band. You’ll also find some video-clips, both live concert as well as two studio clips.
In short, this album is not the highlight of Vader’s word, but it’s definitely yet again worth it. (Fleur) |
