Liftid is a band who won the “Now or Never” final in 2003, if you win this contest you are able to play at the famous Pinkpop festival and you get a lot of media attention. Other winners of this contest are Concubine (2002) and 37 Stabwoundz (2004). Liftid is a band from Roermond (south of the Netherlands), other bands from this region are Concubine (mentioned before) and Dread Lock Pussy, if you know what the sound of these bands is like, you also know the sound of Liftid. The band themselves call this sound “Highschool-metal", I just prefer to call it ordinary “Nu-metal” with sometimes a little emo influence.

Vocalist Nicky Cremers has got a nice voice which sounds a bit like Chino Moreno (Deftones).
Liftid is not the most original band but this album rocks. They`ve got only one guitarist, so I`m curious as to whether they can make the same well-rounded sound happen on stage.
