After their debut-album Distorted Massacre: Fear The Madness, Mortuary IOD is back with the MCD Damnation. A fine mix of death and thrash metal is blasted into your living room. The four songs have illustrious names like “Rot Rampage”, “The Bonehunt”, “Discovering Brutality” and “Lyric Sickness”.

Damnation has a great production and the package of the MCD is fancy with its cardboard sleeve.

The rhythm section of Mortuary IOD is very tight and the guitars are balanced perfectly. On “The Bonehunt” the band gets some vocal assistance from death metal veteran Martin van Drunen (ex-Asphyx, ex-Bolt Thrower, ex-Pestilence, Dead By Dawn). Too bad the MCD only lasts 15 minutes.
