This band from Florida used to be called Eyewitness back in 1995. The actual Millenium got formed in 1997. In the same year they introduced their first album with the same title. After their last album Hourglass, when Jorn Lande (Masterplan) was still on vocals, they’re delivering us their fourth full-length album. This year they also released a best of album called The best of… and more. But, after hearing this album there is nothing more. I’m afraid we’ve already got their best and we get nothing more. And their best wasn’t even good enough.

Millenium never was a band that amazed any of us. They made some good songs, but they’re usually the songs we all know; straightforward heavy/power metal.

I was hoping that would change but unfortunately it didn’t. In contrast with Hourglass, Jericho doesn’t have a good variation in melodic metal, hard rock and power metal. The new vocalist isn’t disappointing but he can’t add the same feeling to the band which Jorn Lande was capable of.

There’s one thing I have no complaints about though: the guitar work from Ralph Santolla (Iced Earth, ex-Death); some great riffs and a heavy sound. The rest of the band just doesn’t seem to maintain the same level.

This all makes this album nothing special. I wouldn’t quickly choose to listen to this album voluntarily again. But you never know, maybe their next album kicks ass!
