Here is a short introduction of Jigsore Terror. The band was formed in 2001, the reason to start this project was to play some kind of old-school death metal in the veins of the early, brutal bands like Repulsion, Death and Terrorizer. In 2002 hey recorded their first demo and sent it to some labels. The demo was also sent to Listenable Records and in 2004 they singed a deal with this French label.
Jigsore Terror is a band from Sweden; I think there is something in the water in Sweden because there`s a lot of great bands from Sweden playing grindcore. Just before they were getting into to studio the vocalist left the band, so the drummer Adde Mitroulis, did the vocals on this album. | |
I never heard the old vocalist but this a good choice. Mitroulis can scream and grind as hell in every song!
It’s not only grindcore on this album; there are some short guitar solo’s. For example in the songs “Reeking Death” and “Feast Of Dismembered Limbs”, short but cool solo’s. The sound of the short solo’s makes me think of the old-school death metal I mentioned before, and when I heard that, I know why they mentioned it in their bio.
This is a great brutal album from start to finish. And, as written on the backside of this promo: “Sweden’s Jigsore Terror play grindcore the way it`s meant to be”, and I agree. (Jeroen) |
