A sign of life from these Dutch/Venezuelan sympathisants. A few years ago, the star was rising for Agresion. But after releasing `Cultura 3`, they had to deal with loss of a drummer and mainly: problems with the bureaucracy in the Netherlands: they had to regain a residence permit and prove that they add something to the Culture in the Netherlands.

After a few months and tons of papers they got it and began touring again. But a lot has changed now. When they released ‘Cultura 3’ there was a lot interest in Nu-Metal. There were so many bands, and it became the most popular music genre in the Alternative sector. In 2002 Nu-Metal got a breakdown and now there are only a few bands left that are doing well.

Agresion always combined nu-metal with ethnic influences. They always put their roots in the music, and this time it’s no different. What is different is the change is music itself. These 2 songs sounds meaner, more proffessional, louder and injected with a ton of agression.
‘War of Contradictions’ is a cool and fast thrash song, straight to the point. ‘Libertad?’ is instrumental, and has some similarities with ‘impossibility of reason’ of Chimaira.

These 2 songs prove Agresion is back. I did lose some interest in this band, but I am looking forward to the new release.
