Sometimes, there are bands that you think it`d be a shame if they were to split up. I think thousands of people had that feeling with Ducky Boys a few years ago. Lucky for them, the Ducky Boys , as stated in the bio, are back swinging with ‘Three Chords and The Truth’.
I was never into the Ducky Boys. I remember the split with the Dropkick Murphys, and I only liked one half of that split. So with some prejudice I put on the new CD. And , to be honest: it blew me away.
It is a long time ago I heard a decent punkrockalbum. This is one. This is exactly a punkalbum that has the ingredients that punk bands need: honest emotions, raw sound, short songs, simple songs. | |
Punk as punk meant to be. Forget all the NOFX/Green day rip offs these days, this is the punk album that does not bore after two listens.
Mark Lind , brother of Blood For Blood Singer Rob Lind, sings perfectly on this cd. Listen to ‘Pass You Buy’, ‘Untitled’and ‘Break Me’and you can hear he really can sing with some kind of burst in his voice.
After a 6 year hiatus they are back with a punk album that still will be remembered the next 20 years.
