Usually I get a pretty good impression of an album just by looking at the artwork, the pictures of the band and the overall impression I get from the CD. This time I was way off. Looking at the artwork and the horrible picture showing the band bare-chested, with masked faces and leather clothes and my opinion of Leichenwetter seemed to be made up already. I even doubted whether I was going to listen to this album at all!
I’m glad I gave this album a try anyway. Leichenwetter is worth listening to. This German band combines guitar power, metal and electronics in a very appealing way.

The native sung lyrics suit the atmosphere and the power excellently. The thing I like most is the fact that this band isn’t playing safe experimenting with keyboards specific. This results in original music with some excellent but also some weaker sections (the moments where the electronics sound a little bit too much PC game like are weaker parts). Fact is that Letzte Worte is an interesting album where lots of things are happening, in the music as well as in the lyrics.
