The company gave the band the opportunity to spend plenty of time in the recording studio and one can imagine this paying of on the album. The self titled debut sounds excellent and the dynamics are a real effort to the music. The band states that it had to improve on their song writing which they obviously did. The songs are well structured and every note seems to be well thought of. There’s not a single superfluous note on the entire album. Even the inevitable ballad “I Dream” turns out to be an excellent written and therefore most interesting track. The ballad features nice melody changes, good soloing and a clear overall view. This is how a ballad is meant to be played.
