“For their never-ending need to destroy several members of the NY thrash legends Overkill needed outlet to vent their anger and frustration. One band was simply not enough! Fueled by intensity and a bloodlust so strong it could start a war, they set in motion a mechanism to conquer the world. Founder of the band, Dave Linsk, started writing songs with the intentions of them being used for Overkill. Dave and Overkill drummer Tim Mallare got together to demo the tunes. These songs took on a different direction then the direction Overkill is taking, hence the birth of /SpeedKill/Hate. “

Those are the first couple of lines on the promotional flyer and I have to say that it got my attention immediately.

I’m not familiar with the music Overkill makes, so I’m not able to draw any comparisons between the two bands. What I hear is a rock solid wall of straight in your face thrash metal. The band was finally completed with another Overkill member, guitarist Derek Tailer who handles the bass duties in /SpeedKill/Hate. Mario Frasca takes care of the vocals on Acts Of Insanity and does that with all the aggression buried inside of him.

This is an awesome album. People who like Testament with brutal vocals should definitely listen to /SpeedKill/Hate!
