The cover represents silence. A dead girl, lying on the snow, brown blood all over – here comes the soundlessness. But this release has nothing to do with silence. Just like in a horror movie when much happens but nothing is heard, this trio from Finland makes the picture live, gives it volume and shape, makes the thrilling horror of your nightmare (when it’s so dreadful, that your brains refuse to take the sound of it inside and refuse to analyze it) sound in real life. From the opener “Drug/Murder/Them” it isn’t nine songs at all. It’s wet, and damp, and crude consistence just like all the liquids of life and death – blood, sweat, vomit, placenta, and lymph. Yes, not pleasant, even intolerable, but bewitchingly real. This mixture – the river of it, deep and ancient, flows into the very waters of Cocytus. “Throacuts Nine” accelerate this flowing as if it all rages. You see how it all began in “My Sweet Cult”. “Hate” and “Pictures Of Death” with their crystal clear sound and organismic tempo bring you into the run for your life in deadly pursuit.

“The End Of Humanity” crashes your ear membranes and slowly creeps through the neurons into your mind as a dreadful fantasy of being buried alive… Aggressive and sharp “Inter Arma” has an all genre riff, which reminds of everything at the same time. Of course, you can listen to musicianship, to every single part of a drummer or a bass player, but here the whole is more then the sum of elements. It’s the idea behind, the sense of a performing picture, the inner feeling increased by the world outlook of musicians, depicting, painting, singing that rising wave of silent horror, when you just stop, cold, paralyzed and muted. Yes, this new (with their own innovations) and classic (raised and fed by the evolution of the style) death and black (no comments) metal will wonderfully complete your collection, if you consider yourself a metal head.
