Personally I’ve never heard a song from this Canadian hardcore band before. I only heard people talk about this band. Everyone was really positive about Comeback Kid. So it is time to check out Wake The Dead, the newest release from these Canadian hardcore kids. The first thing that attracted my attention: it’s bee a very long time since I’ve heard a hardcore band with a lot of punk influence. The second thing was the energy that gets released while listening to this album. I need to get out of my chair and get back into the pit. That’s what everyone wants when he gets old.

Wake The Dead is an album full of old-school sing along hardcore. A lot of tempo changes from beginning till the end. For example “My Other Side” has a slower part at the end with some mid-tempo drums while Our Distance is entirely played fast. The sound of the album is good; most of the time hardcore bands have problems with recording the album and getting the right sound. Comeback Kid has found the right sound and production. Comeback Kid is a talented band and with this release they are heading to the top of old school sing a long hardcore!
