There are still some nu-metal bands with korn-like nicknames. Dreadlock Pussy also had some idiotic nicknames but I thought it ended with them, `cause of the ridiculousness. But then there is Not a number, an Italian nu-metalband with members who call themselves ‘Justiced’, ‘Komix’ , ‘El Dievel’. What the fuck Is up with that.

Alright. There is a self-released 5 track EP out now from this band. And the first thing I thought when putting this cd on was ‘hey an Italian singer with no accent’. Little reasearch taught me that ‘Komix’ (vocals) comes from USA origin.

OK. Enough about that. The songs! Well… It is nu metal, and with nu metal you always can sum up 300 bands to draw some comparisons with. With Not a number 3 bands came up: Dreadlock Pussy, Fony and Papa Roach. Songs with catchy parts, scratches and repeated guitar riffs.
The difference with other nu metal bands is the vocal lines and the way they got brought: Not the ‘I hate myself’ tone, but there is a positive vibe in the lyrics and the lines. Maybe that’s what will save them.
