After All is among us since 1992. That’s quite a while and since that time they have released three 7”, one 12” and four albums. The Vermin Breed is the fifth album from this Belgian metal band.
After All has toured with a lot of bands the last couple of years, like Agent Steel, Anthrax, Paradise Lost and a lot more big names.
“The Vermin Breed is released on the new German label Dockyard 1 (which features some nice bands on their roster). The music on The Vermin Breed sounds a lot like the eighties metal (old school metal). The songs are fast and full of energy. Some songs are a bit slower, “The Insufferable” is one such song and it has some Slayer riffs. Vocalist Piet Forcoul has an old school metal voice and that fits the music perfectly. | |
The album is as I mentioned before full of old school metal, the music is not very creative or has a new sound. That’s a pity because After All has definitely some good musicians.
After All went to the Spiderhouse Studio in Berlin (Germany) to record this album together with Harris Johns, who is famous for his work with Helloween, Voivod, Kreator, Sepultura and many more. Johns did his work very well because the sound of this album is great.
At this moment After All is on tour with Agent Steel so check them out if they come to your hometown. For the vinyl lovers this album is also available via Killer Metal Records. (Jeroen) |
