Sometimes, there’s a bio with the CDs I receive. Mostly they are useful; previous releases, band members, touring plans etc. But sometimes they are just one big load of crap shit. Like Zuul FX. Full of superlatives, talking how big and extreme the band is. I can’t take it too seriously. It ends with: ‘By The Cross is sure to blow away their legions of fans, just as it is certain to garner them an increased appeal in a more mainstream arena.’
I don’t know how this band sees themselves; it is a new band from ex-No Return vocalist Steeve. | |
They wanted to put elements from bands like Slipknot, Fear Factory and Static-X into one.
Those bands are definitely easy to trace when you’re listening to this effort. I like to add Spineshank to those bands. Oh and according to this record, they just worship distortion.
There is nothing really wrong with this CD, but it is just too anonymous. These 12 songs are over before you know it, but nothing really sticks. Just a record in the middle of everything. A perfect 7.0 (Friso) |
