During the last months I have received a couple of (street) punk CDs like Blue Bloods, Ducky Boys and Judasville. All from I Scream. It is therefore no surprise that they’ve signed Far From Finished: their music is after all in the vein of the aforementioned bands.
And again, from Boston! Boston, nowadays, has such a good music scene you can blindly buy anything from there.
“East Side Of Nowhere” is the title of the first full length from this young band. Listening to this band I discovered 2 messages: “Bring back the solo in punk!” and “Enjoy your life on the edge”. | |
The lyrics deal with broken relationships, sinners, surviving on the street and life itself; perfect for this kind of music.
Vocalist Steve does a great job, adding a lot of catchy lines in his vocal work. A lot of sing-a-longs and a voice which insinuates he drinks a bottle of Jack Daniels for breakfast each day.
Favourite songs: “Those Never Forgotten”, “Dusty Shelves” and the brilliant “Forgive Me Father”. (Friso) |
