Well this is something strange.
This is a re-release of a CD that was released in 2001. But according to the site, the album was released in 2003 and in 2004 they’ve released another record. Why did I receive this record to review?
Anyways, the word strange is written all over this band. You all know bands like In Extremo or folk bands like Skyclad etc. But I don’t know in what kind of genre I can put this album.
“Brazuzan – Taller Than A Hill” begins with a flute and some acoustic guitar but soon fades into a ‘true’ heavy metal riff with metal vocals.
After listening to some other tracks you discover there is some structure in the music, but they make it sound kind of chaotic because of all the different parts and instruments they use in their music. | |
However, this makes it more interesting to listen to, because you never know what to expect in the next song.
Favourite song: “The Delirium Has Just Begun”. It’s their longest song, but also the song with some cool metal riffs and some kind of a middle age sphere. I don’t know if I like this mix of power/heavy metal and folk music, but it is interesting to listen to. A CD you will remember but not play very often. (Friso) |
