The first time I put this album in my compact disc player I was surprised when I heard the intro. Some double bass, snare and some screaming, it lasts just 1 minute and 43 seconds and it works to a highlight. So my expectations for the rest of the album were very high.
Unfortunately the second song is just an ordinary metalcore song. Maybe “The God I Would Be” (number three on this album) can satisfy my expectations but that’s also just a metalcore song. Why does every band want to sound like Killswitch?
Sinai Beach have a normal metalcore sound with some electronic sounds in a few songs. | |
The metalcore from Sinai Beach sounds good and is played very well but there are a lot of bands with the same sound at this moment.
Vocalist CJ Alderson has a great screaming voice. When Alderson starts to sing it sounds if he has a lot trouble with it though. I think it’s better for him to just scream.
Sinai Beach is looking for a new guitarist, so if you are interested check out: www.sinaibeach.net, answer the questions and e-mail them a few pictures of yourself. And maybe you’re the new Sinai Beach member. (Jeroen) |
