In creepy dungeons somewhere in Germany lives a band named Caedes. The band has four members: Lord Asgaqlun (guitar, bass, synth, backing vocals), Isegrimm (vocals), Nazgul (guitar) and Lord of Aeveron (drums). And these four guys are really pissed off in a sick kind of way. They decide to show their hate to the world through an album; ‘Blood War Perversion’ is the title of this silver disc.

I guess it’s useless to say that we deal with a black metal band here. Caedes play raw black metal. It’s a shame though that their music isn’t always original. On the other hand, the production of ‘Blood War Perversion’ is really good; the guitars sound really dirty (or is perverse a better word?), the drums have a great sound (much better than most of the ‘underground black metal’ acts) and the vocals are really sickening.

If it wouldn’t have been more than 25 degrees Celsius outside it would have given me goose bumps.

When I read through the lyrics, I notice that most of the lyrics deal with all sorts of hate. And that hate against anything is noticeable in the music too. But the aggressive music is sometimes varied with melodic parts, which gives this album more depth.
