The last release of the year on Release Records seems like the perfect present to spend your christmas time with. Having signed the Italian project Son-Dha, they made a good move in bringing back some truely experimental music to thier label.

RED SECTOR A speeds up ALIO DIE is a 56 minute long trip ranging from technoid sounds to atmospheric droning, but always weaving these extremes together. Diversity, yet continuity seems to be the goal here, and so we hear parts of Muslimgauze, parts of Solarus and parts minimal drum&bass alternating and blending, creating that might not be completely unique but nevertheless interesting and absolutely absorbing.

The downside of an approach like this is that lovers and likers of ambientesque music will skip some of the more active songs, and for technoid freaks it is probably the other way around. Still, for background purposes, this album suits any need.

It`s hard to rate an album like this from the viewpoint of a `rock magazine`, as this album is too far away from anything rock or metal. Still, there might be plenty of people out there who like this kind of music. Seen from the viewpoint of a electronic music lover, this album is a very good effort and even though it might be lacking in some parts, overall it is definitely worth the listen and the money.
