As I usually do when I’m about to write a review, I put the promo in my cd player and start reading the info sheets. This time I found myself reading an eight page review by a bloke called John Page. An eight sheet review, what the fuck? After reading the first page, where nothing but good was written about this release, I got bored with reading and my attention was redrawn to the music. Listening to the album proved to be far more interesting than reading about it, so I’ll keep this review short. Colour Haze is a German psychedelic rock band that analogue recorded their self titled album which features seven diverse and interesting songs ranging in length from 2 to 22 minutes.

And on a rare occasion I can tell you that the 2 minute “Did El It” with its Beasty Boys’ rhythms and excellent vocals is of the same high quality as the 22 minute epic “Peace, Brothers & Sisters!”, which is a melting pod of 60s-rock samples. If you don’t mind listening to Hendrix-like guitars (who doesn’t?) you’re bound to love this track! In general, if you like noisy psychedelic rock, you’ll love Colour Haze!
For the fans of the band it’s good to know that this album is also being released as a limited edition 180 and 250 grams Vinyl.
