It all started out two years ago, when Pat Travers (Gamma) recorded a cover album filled with blues and rock classics. This album was followed by “The Endless Jam” on which Michael Schenker played guitars. Now the story continues and Mascot Records releases a cover album with the original title “The Endless Jam Continues”. A little bit strange title since there doesn’t appear to be so many jams on the album. Most of the songs follow the original versions very closely.

The vocals as well as the guitars are in most cases slightly rougher and less polished, giving the album a jam feel. I could even make it trough listening to the Clapton cover “Layla”! Other nice efforts are; “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” (everything but gently!), “I Don’t Need No Doctor” and “Dear Mr Fantasy”. All in all “The Endless Jam Continues” is not a bad album, for a cover album that is.
