After `Fused Together In Revolving Doors`, The Red Chord delivers another masterpiece with characteristics like insolence, technique and complexity poured out in short burst like explosions.

The comparison with Dillinger Escape Plan and Botch has been rapidly drawn, but The Red Chord taps more and more into the death metal and grindcore scene. Although the songs are brutal and aggressive, they still remain catchy mostly due to the riffs, but do not expect some easy listening stuff. This is a record you will play many times because of the diversity and the brutality.

The vocals add another dose of aggression to the music and in songs like ‘Lay The Trap’ and ‘Clients’ this aggression reaches its climax.

I didn’t know what to expect from this record, I played ‘Fused Together In Revolving Doors’ many times, and every time I listened to it I wanted to throw my monitor through my window. It’s the same with this album and that is a quality not many bands possess. They’re showcasing a lot of talent on this one while also proving they’re not a one day fly. This is a band we will hear a lot more from in the future.
