Mattsson succeeded in producing an album I dislike from the first to the final note. I dislike the messy composition of the opening track and the horrible vocals of Irene Janssen which in my opinion sound like a cat when hit by a car, expressed by the unparalleled guitars of Mattsson. I’m not fond of the average vocals of Lance King either. They absolutely spoil the rather cool rhythm section in the second track “Your Dream”. With the third track “Deep In The Shadows” Mark Boals was given the opportunity to record some decent vocals on this release, he fails miserably, but luckily there’s not much to spoil here since the music is of the same quality as the vocals.

“Smoke And Mirrors” starts off with the same horrible ‘choir’ like vocals I tried to ignore in the opening track. Andre Vuurboom obviously finds his inspiration is these nail scratching sounds, quite an achievement. By now Mattsson has reached my limits, this is an album that will be ritually burned. ‘War’ is in one word horrible, the world is better off without it.
