If you like vocal power dominating an entire album you might want to check out the new Virus album “Sick Of Lies”. Personally I think that the in your face vocals are on one hand destroying the balance on the album. On the other hand the vocals sound quite nice and there are few musical sections that are worth listening brought to the surface. All songs somehow seem to have the same melody, the same rhythm and the same commercial touch.

If you’re a sucker for the thirteen in a dozen rock bands that hit the charts today, you might appreciate this one.

For me “Sick Of Lies” belongs somewhere in the grey masses. The only song that escapes from mediocrity is track eight. If the label had sent out a proper promo with the booklet I would have been able to tell you the title of the track. I know, it’s probably included on a CD-rom section somewhere on the cd and yes I could take the effort of surfing the internet in search for the bands website, but to be honest I’ve lost interest in Virus after listening to “Sick Of Lies”.
