Man, I sure wanted to give this new Morning album a high rating. I’ve seen the band perform a couple of times over the past few years and on occasion this Dutch dream metal band really impressed me with their music and with their performance. Too bad that this “Hour Of Joy” didn’t impress me, in fact listening to the album turned out to be a major disappointment.

The poor sound quality of the album spoils most of the fun listening to the band. The absolute lack of dynamics and the fact that there’s too much emphasis on the vocals of Saskia van Heugten, which aren’t half as good as I remembered, are to blame for that. This band is better than they sound on “Hour Of Joy”.
